This is the fitness journal of Amanda,
foxyvaot.
Starting Stats: (as of Sept 2007)
Height: 5'6
Weight: 133.4
Clothing Size: 4
Body Fat Percentage: 27%
-- Note: I update these every few weeks on bodyspace. Easier to track my progress that way! :))
After deciding to transition myself from a "somewhat fit" individual to an "in shape" individual, I realized that I just had to keep a record of it. It may seem odd to keep a record of every exercise performed and morsel eaten-- but it helps me to keep track and keep on track for my goals.
The other aspect of this is to share what I'm doing and hoping that it might benefit others as well. I know that, until recently, I really didn't know how to get "in shape." Yes, I have run a marathon (and finished!) as well as numerous other races. Yes, I am athletic- hike, play tennis, swim, etc. But being able to do that and achieve my highest level of fitness are quite different things.
My husband Rob shares in my adventure into this realm. Using both of our knowledge from our shared profession (Occupational Therapy), nutrition and Rob's copious amounts of knowledge about body building, we hope to achieve our highest level of fitness.
We are combing planned cardio, daily varied weight training and nutrition to reach our goals. We follow the principles of "clean eating" and minimize processed foods, refined sugars/bleached flour, etc. I'm a fan of organic/natural foods (and am making Rob one as well), hence the name of the journal.
Here's to health!
